How to connect it

    Create a webhook in Discord

    Gets you the URL InfraNest will post to; in Discord go to the channel's Server Settings → Integrations → Webhooks → New Webhook, then Copy Webhook URL.

    Add Discord as a destination

    Connects the channel to InfraNest; go to Alerts → Destinations, Add a destination, choose Discord, and paste the webhook URL.

    Send a test and save

    Confirms alerts will actually post; select Test to send a test message, then Save.

#Can I send alerts to more than one Discord channel?

Yes. Each webhook is bound to one channel, so add a second destination with a second webhook URL if you want alerts split across channels.

#What happens if the webhook stops working?

If Discord no longer accepts the webhook, alerts stop posting to that channel until you update the connection with a fresh webhook URL from Discord.

#Does InfraNest change anything in my Discord server?

No. InfraNest only posts messages through the webhook you create and update those messages when an alert resolves; it doesn't otherwise manage your server.

#Do personal alerts post to the same channel as team alerts?

They're separate. Team alerts go to the channel destination you set up, and each person can additionally configure their own alerts to Discord for just themselves.
