Manage Dynadot domains and DNS without the Dynadot panel
Renewals, nameservers, locks and DNS records for your Dynadot domains, all in InfraNest
Connect Dynadot to run your domains and DNS from InfraNest instead of switching to the Dynadot panel for every change.
- Domains stay current on their own: expiry dates, status, nameservers and lock state are kept in sync once connected, so you're not checking Dynadot for what's about to lapse.
- DNS zones are found automatically: your existing zones are imported on connect, with no manual setup.
- Records are editable from InfraNest: create, edit or delete A, AAAA, CNAME, MX, TXT, CAA and SRV records, and the change is sent to Dynadot — a change made anywhere shows up correctly here.
- Registrar actions without the console: renew domains, switch auto-renew on or off, change nameservers, transfer lock, WHOIS privacy and contacts.
- Register new domains or catch a dropping one, using Dynadot as the registrar.
What it looks like in InfraNest
What you can do
Once Dynadot is connected, this is what InfraNest can do with it.
- Zones imported automatically on connect
- Domains, nameservers and lock state kept in sync
- DNS record edits sent straight to Dynadot
- Register domains or use Dynadot in Drop Catch
- Automations on domain and DNS change events
Not supported
This integration doesn't manage cloud resources or certificates through Dynadot — those are handled by other integrations. DNS management is also limited to domains actually registered with Dynadot and using its nameservers; a domain hosted elsewhere needs that provider connected separately.
How to connect it
- 1
Create your Dynadot API key
Generates the key and secret InfraNest needs — found under Tools → API in your Dynadot account.
- 2
Connect the account
Open Integrations, select Dynadot, and paste your API key and secret, then select Connect.
- 3
Let InfraNest import your domains
InfraNest checks the credentials and pulls in your domains and DNS zones automatically — no manual setup needed.
That’s it — Dynadot is connected.

I use Dynadot, and I want to connect it to InfraNest (infranest.io) — it manages domains, DNS, servers and certificates across providers. InfraNest asks for: API key and secret. Walk me through creating that in Dynadot: where each setting is in the current interface, whether a read-only option exists, and how to check it works before I paste it in.

MCP server
Dynadot in Claude and ChatGPT
Connect your AI assistant to InfraNest and ask about your Dynadot account in plain words, next to every other provider you use. It reads, and acts only when you allow it.
- Which of my Dynadot domains expire in the next 60 days?
- Where does shop.example.com point, and did anything change there this week?
Questions
#What happens if I edit a record in Dynadot's own panel at the same time?
Dynadot can't change a single record on its own, so saving any record rewrites the whole zone. If you edit the same zone in both places at once, whichever save happens last wins, so it's best to pick one at a time.
#Can InfraNest register new domains or only manage existing ones?
Both — you can register new domains through Dynadot from InfraNest, and also use Dynadot as the target registrar when catching a domain as it drops.
#What happens if the API key is revoked or expires?
InfraNest will stop being able to authenticate, and renewals, nameserver changes and DNS edits will pause until you create a new key in Dynadot and reconnect.
#Does InfraNest change anything in my Dynadot account on its own?
Only the actions you take in InfraNest — like renewing a domain or editing a DNS record — are sent to Dynadot. Which actions are available depends on the domain's extension, since not every TLD supports every action.
#What do I need before connecting Dynadot?
A Dynadot API key and secret (API v2) created in your Dynadot account — see the setup guide.
#Is there a Dynadot MCP server?
Yes, through InfraNest. Once Dynadot is connected, InfraNest’s MCP server lets Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, VS Code and other assistants read your domains and DNS records at Dynadot, together with every other provider you use. It works on every plan, including Free.
