TransIP integration

The one provider that does all four, in a list that does all four

TransIP sells you domains, DNS, servers and certificates, and gives each of them its own corner of the control panel. Connect it once with a key pair and all four arrive in InfraNest together — beside the domains you bought elsewhere and the machines you run elsewhere.

Free plan · About 3 minutes · One key pair covers all four

  • Domains with expiry, nameservers, contacts and DNSSEC
  • Zones that follow the domains they belong to
  • VPS power, volumes, reverse DNS and scheduled backups
  • Certificate expiry in the same list as everyone else’s

Your TransIP domains, next to the ones you bought elsewhere

Register, transfer in and renew TransIP domains from the same portfolio as every other registrar’s, with expiry dates, nameservers, contacts, DNSSEC and lock state read straight from TransIP. The comparison that matters — which name expires next — stops depending on which control panel you happened to open.

  • Register, transfer in and renew without the control panel
  • Expiry, nameservers, contacts and DNSSEC in one row
  • Lock state read from TransIP, so the page tells you the truth
  • Several TransIP accounts side by side if you have them

Zones that arrive with the domains

TransIP hosts DNS for the domains you registered with it, so the zones come in on connect with the names they belong to — nothing to re-enter. A, AAAA, CNAME, MX, TXT, NS, SRV and CAA records are edited in the editor every other provider’s zones use, and each edit is sent straight to TransIP rather than queued behind a sync.

  • Existing zones discovered and imported on connect
  • A, AAAA, CNAME, MX, TXT, NS, SRV and CAA
  • Edits pushed to TransIP as you make them
  • Zones follow TransIP domains — they are not created on their own

The VPS side, without a second login

Your TransIP VPS servers appear with their specs and power state in the same fleet list as every other cloud. Power them on and off, resize and rename volumes, set reverse DNS — including a whole address list, which most providers will not give you — and let the scheduled backups run. Cancelling is cancelling, not deletion, and the page says so before you click.

  • Power state, specs and region beside every other provider
  • Volumes created, renamed and resized
  • Reverse DNS, per address as well as per server
  • Scheduled backups and snapshots
  • Private networks read in with the servers on them

Certificates counted with all the others

Certificates held at TransIP land in your certificate list with their expiry dates, beside the ones at your other providers and the ones your servers issued for themselves. One list is the only version of this that gets checked.

See your own TransIP account in InfraNest

Free plan, no credit card. Connect once and the domains, zones, servers and certificates appear on their own.

Connect TransIP in about three minutes

TransIP authenticates with a key pair rather than a token: you add a key in the control panel and paste the private half here. One pair covers domains, DNS, servers and certificates together.

  1. 1

    Open the TransIP integration

Go to Integrations and open TransIP.

  2. 2

    Choose which features to connect

Select from Cloud, DNS, Domains and Certificates, and optionally set an Account label.

  3. 3

Enter your account name and private key

Paste your account name and the full PEM private key from Settings → API in your TransIP control panel.

  4. 4

    Connect

Leave email warnings ticked if you want to be notified of problems, then select Connect.

That’s it — TransIP is connected.

Full setup guide

Set up with AI

I use TransIP and I want to connect it to InfraNest (infranest.io) — it manages domains, DNS, servers and certificates across providers. TransIP does not use a simple API token; it wants an API key pair, added under My Account → API in the control panel. Walk me through it: where that screen is, whether I need to whitelist an IP address or can leave access open, what the difference between a read-only and a read-write key means here, and how to check the key works before I paste it in.

What syncs

What InfraNest keeps in sync with TransIP.

Cloud resourcesServers, volumes, firewalls, networks and load balancers
DNS zonesDNS zones and records
DomainsDomains, expiry dates, nameservers and lock state
CertificatesCertificates and their expiry

What still happens at TransIP

Transfer lock and WHOIS privacy can't be changed through InfraNest for TransIP domains — set those in the TransIP control panel. DNS zones can only be managed for domains registered with TransIP, and they follow your domains rather than being created on their own.

Questions about the TransIP integration

#What happens if the private key is revoked or expires?

InfraNest will show an authentication error and stop syncing until you generate a new API key in TransIP and reconnect. Existing data already synced stays visible, but changes and updates won't go through until the connection is restored.

#Can InfraNest change settings on my TransIP account?

Yes — through InfraNest you can edit DNS records, register, transfer or renew domains, manage nameservers, contacts and DNSSEC, switch off auto-renew, and change server power state and reverse DNS. All of these are sent to TransIP directly.

#Can I stop and restart auto-renew from InfraNest?

You can switch auto-renew off through InfraNest, but turning it back on has to be done in the TransIP control panel.

#Does this cover DNS for domains not registered with TransIP?

No — DNS management only works for domains registered with TransIP itself. A domain registered elsewhere but pointed at TransIP nameservers isn't covered.

#Can I lock a server or volume so it can't be deleted by accident?

Yes — InfraNest can lock servers, volumes, firewalls, networks and load balancers against deletion, something TransIP does not offer on its own. The lock is enforced wherever the deletion is attempted, including the API and any automation, though it can't stop a deletion made directly in TransIP's own dashboard.
