Manage GoDaddy domains and DNS without the second login

Domains, DNS, and expiry dates in one place instead of GoDaddy's own dashboard

Connect GoDaddy to bring your domains and DNS zones into InfraNest instead of tracking them separately.

  • DNS records stay in sync: existing zones are found and imported automatically, and edits you make — A, AAAA, CNAME, MX, TXT, NS, SOA, SRV, CAA and PTR records — are sent straight to GoDaddy.
  • Domain lifecycle in one place: see expiry dates, nameservers and lock state, and register, renew, transfer in, or update contacts without opening GoDaddy's dashboard.
  • Transfer protection and privacy on demand: lock a domain against transfer, turn WHOIS privacy on or off, and switch auto-renew on or re-enable it.
  • Health status surfaced: InfraNest reports whether the connection is working, so a lapsed token or a paused feature shows up before it becomes a missed renewal.

NoteDNS management only works for domains registered with GoDaddy itself — a domain registered elsewhere and pointed at GoDaddy's nameservers isn't covered.

What you can do

Once GoDaddy is connected, this is what InfraNest can do with it.

  • Automatic discovery of existing DNS zones
  • Full domain lifecycle: register, renew, transfer, contacts
  • Transfer lock and WHOIS privacy control
  • Connection health reporting

Not supported

This integration doesn't cover cloud resources or certificates — those aren't part of what InfraNest manages through GoDaddy. DNSSEC also isn't available through this connection.

How to connect it

  1. 1

Create a GoDaddy personal access token

In the GoDaddy developer portal, create a token and tick the "Domains & DNS" bundle to grant everything at once. Give it the longest expiry you're comfortable with.

  2. 2

    Open the GoDaddy integration

Go to Integrations and open GoDaddy. Optionally set an Account label to tell multiple connections apart.

  3. 3

Choose features and paste your token

Select DNS and Domains, then paste your Personal Access Token.

  4. 4

    Connect

Leave "Email me when this integration has problems" ticked for warnings, then select Connect.

That’s it — GoDaddy is connected.

Set up with AI

I use GoDaddy, and I want to connect it to InfraNest (infranest.io) — it manages domains, DNS, servers and certificates across providers. InfraNest asks for: Personal access token. Walk me through creating that in GoDaddy: where each setting is in the current interface, whether a read-only option exists, and how to check it works before I paste it in.

Questions

#What happens when the token expires or is revoked?

Calls to GoDaddy stop working with an authentication error the day the token lapses. DNS and domain data already in InfraNest stays visible, but nothing new syncs and no changes can be sent until you paste a fresh token into the connection.

#Can InfraNest change settings on my GoDaddy account, not just read them?

Yes. Editing a DNS record, locking a domain against transfer, toggling WHOIS privacy or auto-renew, and updating nameservers or contacts all send the change to GoDaddy — these aren't read-only views.

#Will registering or renewing a domain through InfraNest charge me?

Yes, it charges the payment method or Good as Gold balance on your GoDaddy account. If your GoDaddy billing address is in the EU or UK, card payments can't complete through the API — fund a Good as Gold balance instead, or buy the domain in GoDaddy's own screens and InfraNest will pick it up automatically. Auto-renew isn't affected either way, since GoDaddy bills that itself.

#Does this manage DNS for domains registered somewhere else?

No. DNS management through this integration only works for domains registered with GoDaddy — a domain registered at another registrar isn't covered, even if it points at GoDaddy's nameservers.

#Why does a feature show as temporarily unavailable?

GoDaddy limits API access to some features depending on your account type. InfraNest marks those as paused and retries automatically rather than failing outright.
