Integrations are how you connect your provider accounts — like Hetzner, Cloudflare or AWS — to InfraNest, so your servers, domains, DNS and certificates all show up in one place and you can manage them without switching tools. This article is for anyone setting up or managing those connections.
Overview
- Integrations bring in what you already have with a provider and keep it synced with InfraNest.
- One connection can cover several areas at once — Cloud, DNS, Domains and Certificates.
- You only ever see the actions a provider actually supports; anything it can't do is greyed out.
What an integration does
When you connect a provider, InfraNest imports the things you have there and keeps them up to date. Depending on the provider, a connection can cover:
- Cloud — your servers, firewalls, volumes, networks and load balancers appear under Infrastructure.
- DNS — your DNS zones and records appear under DNS.
- Domains — your registered domains appear under Domains, along with actions like renew, transfer and update nameservers.
- Certificates — your SSL certificates are added to your list under Certificates.
Connect a provider
- Open Integrations from the sidebar.
- Pick the provider you want — for example Hetzner, Cloudflare or Amazon Web Services — to see what it does.
- Select Connect an account (or Connect another account if you already have one for this provider).
- Choose the features you want this connection to cover.
- Give the connection a label so you can recognise it later.
- Select Connect to finish.
NoteYour credentials are stored encrypted and are never shown again after you save them.
Manage a connection
- Open Integrations and select the provider.
- Select Manage next to the account you want to check on.
- Review its Status and health indicator to confirm it's Working.
- Select Refresh (Sync now) if you want to pull the latest data immediately instead of waiting for the next scheduled sync.
- Use Rename account if you want to change its label, or Disconnect account if you no longer need it.
If a sync fails, you'll be alerted so you can fix the connection before it affects your data.
TipYou can connect more than one account of the same provider — for example two separate Hetzner projects — and manage them side by side.
Available integrations
- Cloud, DNS, Domains and Certificates: Hetzner, Cloudflare, Amazon Web Services, TransIP, GoDaddy, IONOS, Namecheap, SSL.com.
- Alert destinations (where your alerts are delivered): Slack, Microsoft Teams, Telegram, Discord.
- Automation tools (send InfraNest events out, and let them act on InfraNest in return): Zapier, Make, n8n, or any system of your own with a custom webhook.
Each integration has its own Connect guide with the exact steps for that provider.
Troubleshooting
- This connection is failing — open the provider's Manage screen to see the failure details and attempt count, then reconnect or update its credentials.
- A feature looks greyed out — that provider doesn't support that action; check What this integration does on its page for a full list of Supported operations.
- You've hit your account limit — you'll see Connection limit reached; remove an unused connection or check your plan under Billing.
