A once-a-week email from InfraNest that rounds up what happened in your workspace, written for anyone on the team — not just technical folks.
Overview
- Arrives Monday morning with a quick look at your week: what needs attention, what was handled automatically, and what changed outside InfraNest.
- Replaces separate emails for routine events like renewals, so you get one tidy summary instead of several small ones.
- Only shows what you're allowed to see and what you could also find in InfraNest itself.
What it shows
The email opens with a few key figures for the week — how many checks ran, your uptime, and how many outages happened. If a figure is nothing to worry about, it's written in words like "None" rather than shown as a plain 0.
After that, it can include up to five short sections, each with a link to the relevant page:
- Needs you this week — the same list you'd see on Home, in the same order and wording. If nothing needs you, it says so.
- Taken care of — domains that renewed, certificates that were replaced, connections that stopped working and came back, domains caught by Drop Catch, dynamic IPs that changed (with your records updated to match), and how often your automations ran.
- Coming up — watched domains expected to drop in the next two weeks, with dates.
- Changed outside InfraNest — DNS records someone edited directly at your DNS provider instead of in InfraNest, one line per zone.
- Worth doing — up to three suggestions, similar to what you'd see on Home, such as watching a site nothing currently checks, plus the occasional tip about an InfraNest feature you haven't tried yet. The same tip won't repeat within eight weeks.
If you hit a milestone — 30, 100, or 365 days without an outage, your first domain caught, or a full year with InfraNest — the summary mentions it, but no more than once a month.
If a part of InfraNest you use had nothing to report, the summary says so in a single line, like Also quiet and fine: DNS, certificates.
Each section lists up to five items. If there are more, the last line tells you how many and links to the full list.
When it arrives
The summary arrives Monday morning, in your workspace's time zone, covering the week since the last one.
On Mondays, it replaces your separate "needs you" email, so you get one email instead of two. Anything that email would have listed appears in Needs you this week instead, and it won't be sent again as new the next day.
You'll get at most one summary email per morning. If your monthly recap or a trial email would otherwise land the same morning as the weekly summary, it's delayed to the next morning, and the bell icon notes this under Held back for you. Emails about a trial ending soon, and alerts, are never delayed this way.
If a week had absolutely nothing to report — nothing waiting, nothing renewed, nothing changed, and nothing to suggest — you simply won't get an email that week.
Renewals come here instead of one by one
When a domain renews, you won't get a separate email about it anymore — it shows up in your next weekly summary instead, and it still appears in the bell icon right away.
To get an email for each renewal as it happens instead:
- Go to My account → Notifications.
- Under Workspace digests, turn off Collect routine successes in the weekly summary.
NoteIf you turn the weekly summary off completely, renewal emails switch back to arriving one by one automatically, so you never miss one.
Getting it in Slack, Teams or Telegram
- In your own Telegram. If you've chosen to get your summaries in Telegram (under My account → Notifications), the weekly summary arrives there too — instead of by email, or alongside it if you chose both. If Telegram can't deliver it, it's emailed to you as a fallback.
- In a team channel. A Slack or Teams destination set to Weekly, on Monday receives the whole weekly summary as a single post on Monday, instead of a separate daily list. A destination set to Daily keeps getting its daily list as usual.
How it differs from the "needs you" email
The "needs you" email is focused on problems. It only arrives when something new needs attention, and it can come as often as daily.
The weekly summary covers the whole week, good news included. It arrives every Monday that has something to report, even when nothing is wrong.
Turn off the weekly summary
- Go to My account → Notifications.
- Under Workspace digests, turn off Weekly summary.
TipYou can also use the unsubscribe link at the bottom of the email to turn it off. Either way, this only affects you — your colleagues will keep getting their own summaries.
